The first step on your journey to a clean, efficient heating system is a Heating Upgrade Survey; an expert assessment of your home and heating preferences.
This is an essential step in being able to accurately design a system that will work efficiently and reliably for your home.
What to expect on the day.
A qualified technical assessor will visit your home in order to:
Calculate the amount of energy your home requires to maintain a stable, comfortable temperature in winter months, and a ready supply of hot water all year round. This is commonly known as a ‘Heat Loss Survey’.
Understand your existing heating and electrical system and assess what upgrades are necessary or recommended to build you the most efficient system.
Identify specific requirements for your design, such as unique equipment location requests, or planning applications that Fornax might need to carry out on your behalf.
This visit will take around two hours, and the assessor will require access to all rooms in the property, including any loft space.
You should be on site to answer questions, however you will not be required to be present for the entire survey.
After your survey.
A heating system will be designed, bespoke for your home. This typically takes a few days depending on complexity.
We will then prepare and provide you with an information pack containing the results of your survey, along with our recommended system design, and a fixed quote for the upgrade. This will include details of all necessary equipment and works.
You'll receive both a cost for traditional purchase, and Fornax's Heat Pump Plan*.
